So why is Facebook important and what are
some Facebook Marketing Strategies that you can use to leverage the world’s
largest social media platform let’s have a look.
some Facebook Marketing Strategies that you can use to leverage the world’s
largest social media platform let’s have a look.
So let’s talk about the extreme reach of
Facebook, at the time of this recording Facebook has just reported over 1.5
billion Facebook users, so 1 in 9 people in the world are currently on Facebook
50% of who use Facebook every day. If Facebook was a country it would be
technically the largest country in the world. It is the world’s biggest social
media network. In addition to having extreme reach Facebook also has many users
and high engagement. The average Facebook user has a 130 friends and is connected
to at least 80 pages. There are over 427 million mobile users, the average
Facebook user spends 20 minutes per visit or 6 to 8 hours on Facebook per
month.

There are over 250 million photos uploaded
daily, over 2.7 billion likes per day on Facebook, the split on Facebook at the
moment is about 57% females to 43% males. Facebook becomes an extremely
powerful platform due to the fact that it has so many users who are so engaged
on its platform. So let’s get started with an overview of how to use Facebook
in 4 simple steps.

powerful platform due to the fact that it has so many users who are so engaged

in 4 simple steps.
The first step to using Facebook is to
understand that it’s a platform to help you build your brand so you can be seen
by your audience, and this means maximizing Facebooks real estate including
your Facebook cover photo, your Facebook profile image and posting content
regularly and consistently on Facebook so you’re seen by your audience.

The second step in using Facebook is once
you’ve built your brand it’s about getting more customers, building your

understanding Facebook as a traffic tool to bring customers to you.

The third step in using Facebook is about
engaging with your audience, now that people know that you exist, now that you’ve
begun to get more followers its about engaging with them on and off Facebook,
and building a relationship with your audience. You’re building a relationship
with them by sharing engaging content and having a content strategy and plan
that really is focused on providing value to your audience that helps them. I
like to call it making your users fierce in awesomeness. So this is about
providing them value that helps solve their pains their fears and their
frustrations and this is how you become a leader and a go to person in your
field.

third step is about putting people particularly followers into a pipe line and
your building an audience with them, you’re making the sale and your servicing

Let’s have a look at some businesses who
are using Facebook extremely well to grow there empires.
are using Facebook extremely well to grow there empires.
This is the Raw Chef also known as Russell
James and I’ve been following Russell for a few years now and I’ve seen him
grow from 20 000 followers on Facebook to over 200 000 followers on Facebook. And
what I’ve noticed about Russell is that he uses Facebook very strategically. He
is consistent with posting his raw food recipes and images. He is consistent
with posting offers so that his audience is used to him selling, and he is also
fantastic at creating a funnel, so getting people from Facebook to his website
where he then engages with them through email. If you haven’t followed the Raw
chef or Russell James already, definitely have a look at his Facebook fan page
and have a look at what he is doing correctly. I really love following Russell
because he just is on this exponential growth path from what I can see and I
really love seeing this small business just grow.

Another case study of a small business using
Facebook really well is Mishka, and Mishka sells clothing online, and she
purely makes all of her sales based off the traffic from Facebook. So once
again we have someone leveraging Facebook traffic, bringing people back to her
website where she sells clothes. She posts really regularly and it’s all about
fashion and trends and it’s about the consistency of giving people what they
want and enabling them to buy it from you on your website.

Here we have Gecko Adventures who are a
travel agency and I love following Gecko adventures because I love to travel,
but they also have used Facebook very well as a way to sell there tours and
there travel packages. Now you’ve seen Russell James who is a raw food chef who
sells E courses, you’ve seen Mishka who sells clothes, she’s an online
Ecommerce clothing retailer, and you’ve seen now Gecko adventures, for them
what they all do well and consistently is take the traffic from Facebook engage
with an audience there but then bring people back to their website where they
make the transaction.

So when we think about our Facebook
marketing strategy the best way to leverage Facebook is to use that reach to
drive traffic to your website and to build an email list. So at a top level it’s
about using Facebook to reach new customers with the aim of getting them into
your sales pipe line. Once you’ve started to engage with them you build a
relationship with them on and off Facebook, so you post on your Facebook to
engage with them you interact with them on other social media platforms as well
as in conjunction with your email list and then the third step is to grow and
nurture a relationship to sell to them.

This Facebook marketing strategy works
because the emphasis is on building a relationship with the user providing them
with lots of value and engaging with them and then making a transaction after
that as opposed to pushing the sale and pitching pitching pitching pitching. It’s
much easier to sell to someone who knows likes and trusts you than it is to
sell to someone cold, where we are interacting with people building a
relationship with them which then increases the propensity that they will buy
from us.

How to create a Facebook Cover Photo - Canva tutorial
Hi I’m Sara Nguyen your Online Marketing Strategist helping you build your business using tech and social media with ease. If you’re new to this channel consider subscribing for all of the latest tech reviews, social media marketing tips and training. And, at any time during this video check out the description for links to all of the resources mentioned in the video.
Your Facebook cover photo is prime real estate on your Facebook page, it’s one of the first things that people see when they land on your page, so you want to make sure that you make the most of this space to communicate your message and to portray your brand in the best light. So let’s have a look at what you need to include in your Facebook cover photo.
So what should you include in the design of your cover photo? I typically recommend my clients include a graphic that represents your business and a call to action or your business tagline, and, if possible your logo as well. Facebook as some terms and conditions on what you can and can’t include in your Facebook cover photo. Your Facebook cover photo can’t infringe on anyone else’s intellectual property, so you need to make sure that you use images and photos that you have the right to use. So this means not using images that you find on Google Images and to make sure that you’ve either taken the photo yourself or you’ve purchased the rights to the photo. Your Facebook cover photo can’t be deceptive or misleading and you can’t encourage other people to upload your cover photo in their timelines.
So let’s have a look at some real world cover photos to give you some inspiration on what you can include in your cover photo. This is Learning English Essential’s cover photo and what’s included here is an image of an iPad with an arrow pointing to the sign-up button so a call to action, and they are encouraging you to get their free English conversation practice video and worksheet. There is also their tagline, “Learn English quickly easily and without overwhelm” they have also included their logo in the corner of the iPad image.
This is the cover photo for another Facebook page, The Space Inbetween with Sara Brooke, and on her cover photos she’s included images of some of her products which is another clever use of this space as well because once again remember we are using images that represents our business and she has some beautiful colors that are aligned to her logo and compliment her logo and it really brings out what she is all about, she’s got a tagline there, “Be your own healer sacred soul medicine tools”.
On Kris Car’s cover photo she has images relating to her product which is the Crazy Sexy Juice book, she as some text which explains what’s in it and a link to her website as well. The Link is not clickable but she has laid it out cleverly so it integrates with the call to action which is the sign up, and if you click on the sign up button it will take you to that website.
This is a simple cover photo that I like to use as an example from Grilled Fish and this showcases real fish which is what this Fish and Chippery actually sells. With your Facebook cover photo as long as you have a really vivid image that represents your business it doesn’t necessarily have to be extremely elaborate and fancy it just needs to make the point and a really clear impression of what your business actually offers.
So how would you now go about creating your cover photo and profile image? Another way of getting your cover photo or profile image done is to do it yourself, and a great tool for being able to do this is with www.canva.com and I love Canva.com because it’s free and they have so many different layouts that you can really create a beautiful cover photo without having to know any design or having to layout money for a graphic designer.
So once you sign up to a Canva.com account you can click on cover photo and what you will see that Canva has on the left-hand side here is that they have a bunch of free templates that you use or if you hover over one of the layouts and it has this little $ sign that means that that will cost you money to use, but typically they’re about a $1 so it’s quite cheap to use there are premium templates and images as well, but if you don’t want to use that that’s fine you can click on one of the free ones and that will populate and then literally everything else becomes as easy as clicking on the item changing the text, you can upload your own images clicking on the upload section and lay them into the cover photo as well, and everything is literally dragged and dropped which is really really cool.
You can add different backgrounds, you can add different elements, so with the elements you can add shapes there are different shapes that you can use and drag them over, you can add text really easily, there are pre-mocked up text layouts or you can just add your own text and choose the text style yourself. You can change the font. Now you’re not able to upload your own custom fonts which is a bit of a shame and an oversight if you ask me, however, there are many fonts that Canva does allow you to use and it should be enough for what you need to do.
You can delete things if you make a mistake, once you’re happy with your design it’s as easy as clicking on the download button and for Facebook specifically you can save it has a high quality dot PNG format and that will work quite well for what we need to do which is upload it to our Facebook fan page. Canva will prepare the image and then you can go ahead and upload the image to your Facebook cover which we will show you next.
Now to create your Facebook profile image you would click on custom dimensions the width is 180 and the height is 180 and we want to make sure that the size is on PX which is Pixels and then we will click on design, Canva will then create the canvas and from here we can upload our own images and logos and then literally drag them over to the canvas like so. We can then resize them so that they fit the canvas properly and that’s it and it’s as easy as that. I’m going to download it again as a high quality PNG and Canva will prepare the file which I’m going to upload next.
Now to upload your cover photo what you want to do is go back to your Facebook page which we created, we want to click on the little icon here, click on add cover and upload the photo, so we are going to choose the image that we just downloaded from Canva or the image that your graphic designer as provided you, and then we are going to upload that and Facebook will position the image, you can move it if the image is a little bigger than the size that Facebook allows. And we are going to do the same to upload your profile image, we are going to upload a photo, choose the image we just created and that’s it and then we are going to save our changes and we are done.
So there you have it a step by step walk through of how to create your own Facebook cover photo, if you found this video useful give me a thumbs up and subscribe to my channel. How to use Facebook Stories - Facebook New Update | Facebook Stories Demo
In this Facebook Stories Tutorial I am going to show you how to use Facebook Stories to create gorgeous images and videos that you can share on your Facebook Profile and your Facebook Page stay tuned.
Hi I am Sara Nguyen your online marketing strategist helping you grow your business using Social Media and Tech with ease. Facebook has just begun rolling out Facebook Stories as an all-out assault on Snapchat. Let’s have a look at how you can access Facebook Stories to create videos and images.
To access Facebook Stories, you will need to open up the Facebook App on your phone. Facebook Stories appears above the section where you write your status updates. You will see a direct button, and you will see your story if you’ve posted any stories. Then you will see stories for any of your friends who have posted.
If I click on my friends David’s story, I will see the videos and images that he has posted in the last 24 hours. To access Facebook Stories, click on the little icon of a camera in the top left hand corner and this opens up the Facebook Stories app. If I click on the little wand in the bottom corner I’ll then be able to access all of Facebook’s amazing story features.
My favorite one at the moment is this Wonder Woman one. Facebook has a whole range of really fun features that you can use to create images and videos. So I am going to pick one to demonstrate what you can do with it.
I’ve picked the Wonder Woman one and I can tap on the button here to take a photo. Once I’ve taken that photo, I can click on the A characters here that allows me to write some text. I can change the color of the text as well. I am going to click done, and then I can use my finger to move the text around.
Then if I click on this little pencil icon. It allows me to then choose a color and draw. Also on the photo that I’ve just taken, if I’ve made a mistake I can click on the little arrow at the top. That will undo it and I can fix it there. Once I am happy with it I click done.
I can now save this photo to my camera roll. Clicking on the little arrow that’s pointing down will save it to the camera roll. When I click on the white button with an arrow, this lets me choose where I want to share the photo.
I can share it as a post and this will go to the news feed with the photo. I can choose to put it in my story or your story, and this appears in the top section of the news feed that you saw before. It will be there for 24 hours then it will disappear.
So I am going to choose to put it as a post, and as usual with Facebook, you can choose to share it with your friends or certain friends or public. So you can set the security of your photos there.
The other thing you can do is you can send it directly to one of your friends, and they will be able to open the photo. It will be there for 24 hours. So I am going to send it to David Jukicson and he will have the image in the Facebook Story section for 24 hours to view. I am also going to choose to put it in my story section as well and once I click on the button, it will send it to all of the places that I’ve chosen to distribute it to.
So there you will see that it’s posted to my news feed. When I click on your story, It will appear as a story that I’ve added throughout the day for 24 hours. There it is right there, and when I click direct. I can see that I’ve sent it to David there and he has 24 hours to view it before it disappears.
Now if I go back to the Facebook Stories app and this time I am going to record a video instead. So I am going to choose a filter once again. There are so many fun filters to select. Which one to choose? Which one to choose? I think I am going to choose this champion one.
Okay, with recording a video, instead of tapping on the little button, I am going to hold it down. Then I can record a message that will be shared or that I can save. So I am pressing on the button now and this is recording a message during my tutorial of how to record and create Facebook Stories. Once I’ve finished creating the video, I can release it and it will play back the video.
Once again like photos, I am able to click on the text add some copy to the video. I can also click on the little pencil once again.
Let's draw a little flower the best I can. Once I am happy with that, I can save it once again to my camera roll. I’ll show you how to share this to your Facebook page because at the moment it’s only allowing us to post it directly to our profile. I am happy with that and I am going to click on the little button here. I am going to add it to my story. I am not going to add it as a post, but add it to my story.
Facebook Stories allows you to create some fun videos and photos really quickly and really easily, and it allows you to share it directly to your Friends and save it.
So let’s have a look now at how you would actually go and post this to your business page. So in order to post your Facebook Story to your Page. You will need to save your video or your photo to your camera roll.
So I’m going to record a demo video now and let go of it like that. Then I’m going to click on the down button to save it to my camera roll. I am going to get out of this one and click the top left to get out of the app, and then I want to open up the Facebook pages manager on my phone.
So this is the Facebook Pages App. I can then click on photo or video, select the video and the images that I’ve created using Facebook Stories. I can write some text in my status update section and like any regular post on your page. I can now click continue and publish and this will post the Facebook Stories video and the Facebook Stories photos that I have saved to my camera roll and they will now appear on my Facebook page. And there they are!
So there you have it a Facebook Stories Tutorial showing you how to use Facebook Stories to create videos and images and to share them to your Facebook profile and page.

DIY Ring Light - How to make a ring light
Hi, I’m Sara Nguyen. Your online marketing strategist, helping you build your business using Tech and Social Media with ease. If you’re new to this channel consider subscribing for all of the latest product reviews, social media marketing tips and training. And, at any time during this video check out the description for links to all of the resources mentioned in this video.
One way to improve the quality of your videos whether it’s Facebook Livestreams or YouTube videos is to use good lighting. But when you’re just getting started sometimes investing in a high end Diva Ring Light, isn’t always an option.
So I’m going to show you how to create your own Diva Ring Light using pieces that you can get on Amazon or from your local hardware store. All of the links are in the description to the products that I’m using to create this Ring Light. So let’s get started.
To make your own Diva Ring Light you’ll need: Some tubing. This typically comes in a coil of about 3 metres and you can get it longer in 5 metres as well. You only need about a meter of tubing and you can cut the coil using scissors.
Some PVC pipes, you will need to get a straight piece of PVC pipe and a T-section pipe.
Some LED Strip Lights, these are lights on a strip that also comes with a power pack, and this will be the light for the Diva Ring Light. You can get this in a cool light which best represents daylight or a warm light.
A cold shoe mount.
Some adhesive, I’ve chosen a self-mixing instant epoxy and a phone mount.
My LED strip lights are 3 meters in length, and my tubing is 1 meter. So I can do two things, 1 is I can take my LED strip lights and measure it out to be a metre, and then I can cut the LED strip lights where it has the cut point – the marks to cut it there.
So instead of cutting the lights, I’m going to measure it out to be about a metre, and fold the lights so that we get all the lights in about a metre length.
I’ll put my PVC pipes together, the tubing will go into the bottom of the T-section. Then I’ll take my LED strip lights and feed them through the bottom of the tubes and then bring it out through 1 side of the light. So let’s go through here, like that.
Then I take my tubing and feed the light through 1 end of the tubing.
To make it easier to get the lights through the tube you can stretch out the tubes and then shake it. Once you have the Strip Lights fed through the tubing, you can start to bring it all together now, so I’ll take one end of the tubing and attach it to 1 side of that T-section pipe, and I’ll take the other section and feed it through the other section like so. And we’re nearly done.
In order to be able to mount your phone or your camera to your ring light, you will need to attach your Cold Shoe Mount to the top of the T-section of the pipe here. So I’ll take the adhesive that I showed you earlier, add some to the bottom of the Cold Shoe Mount, and attach it to the T-section here. Once the adhesive has dried, you’ll be able to attach your phone mount to the top of the cold shoe and then attach your phone. And then your Diva Ring Light is complete.
So let’s have a look at what it looks like with and without the Ring Light.
So here’s some footage without the Ring Light on, just using the natural light of the room. And let’s go ahead and turn on the ring light now. And this is what it looks like with the light, so I have much better lighting for my videos with my own created ring light.
